Joining is as easy as showing up.

The Stanardsville Independence Day Committee (SIDC) meets at Stanardsville Town Hall (click here for directions) regularly.  Meetings are open to the public and anyone who wants to volunteer is most welcome to do so.

As with any group, we sometimes have to adjust our calendars owing to holidays or team member availability so it is best to email us in advance to confirm the details of our next meeting.

We only ask of our volunteers what they are freely willing to offer.

We all have responsibilities that require our attention (career, family, charitable work, etc.) and we all need time to rest and refresh ourselves.  Whether you want to volunteer year round to take on the tasks of planning, fundraising and executing the event or just to help with specific activities or for a discrete amount of time, we will appreciate whatever talents you are willing to contribute to our cause.
