The Stanardsville Independence Day Committee (SIDC) is entirely funded through the generous donations of citizens and business leaders just like you. But for those persons and businesses who may not be familiar with our group or our past work, how do they know who we are and that we are a legitimate body working for public good? The answer is simple—we ask the county government officially recognize our body each year via a formal resolution which becomes part of the public record.
On March 13th, the Greene County Board of Supervisors unanimously passed our resolution for 2018 (text attached). As in previous years, this resolution acknowledges who we (the SIDC) are and what we aim to do every year. The resolution further encourages the public to support our fundraising efforts.
For more information about the formal resolution, you may contact John Barkley, County Administrator, or your district representative to the board of supervisors for more details.
